It is possible to have clean IRR data, it just needs an incentive. Most of the time, operators don't even realize they have crappy data. We need monitoring and alerting tools. https://irrexplorer.nlnog.net/ helped me a lot telling my customers they have errors.

I am curious whether the IRR numbers change if you account for some unbalances - in RIPE 54% of route6 objects are just from one organisation who (if I remember right) made a route6 each /48 from a /32. And across all the big IRRs, 20% of route objects is from (what looks to me as) one organisation. Not necessarily invalid, but can influence stats.
