there’s no stick to the policy, once the carrot (allocation) is handed out, the assignment is created only if the user wants it in its name or if the LIR wants to delegate some maintenance… and only on request

@Elvis, that's been my experience too. Since no additional allocations can be attained, LIRs already register what they want re: assignments. Which is not in alignment with the registration policy

so, I do not understand why this proposal is mixed with other stuff.. this fixes a problem, maybe not the problem the DB TF has noticed, but still fixes a problem nonetheless :)

yes, lets keep beating a dead horse. v4 is not scalable for new deployments anymore. Even a 2 year prospective makes people hope to get on with v4..
