Leandro Bertholdo

I received my Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Computer Science in 1997 from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. During this period I studied Internet security and started up one of the first Computer Emergency Response Teams in Brazil (CERT-RS).

I coordinated the Brazilian National Research Network's point of presence in Porto Alegre (PoP-RS/RNP) for almost 20 years. During this period I also started up the Rio Grande do Sul Internet Exchange (POA.IX.BR), currently the fourth biggest in Brazil.
Since 2019 I have been a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Twente in the Netherlands researching anycast and DDoS.
