Pablo Camarillo Garvia

Pablo Camarillo is one of the engineers behind Segment Routing at Cisco. He enjoys listening to customers and designing solutions to solve their problems. Driving change, and never giving up.
He participates in the standardization efforts of SR at IETF. He holds over a dozen patents, and he also contributes to the open-source ecosystem maintaining the FD.io VPP implementation for Segment-Routing.

For his industry contribution he received the Pioneer Award -Cisco's most prestigious award honoring innovative engineering. The award celebrates engineering contribution that brings growth in new markets, redefines current markets, and provides game-changing improvements to engineering productivity.

Pablo holds a Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications Engineering and a Master’s degree in Information Systems Management. Previously Pablo worked at IMDEA Networks where he prototyped the first BGP Route Server in ExaBGP and researched on the algorithms behind TI-LFA.
